Pete Smalls

http://www.myspace.com/pete_smalls
Pete has been a Writer/Producer of Electronic Dance Music for over 20 years and a DJ for over 15. Through the years Pete has produced for the new media, video game, and film/ television industries as well as kicking out a few "No Name" white label dance remixes for large labels and several popular artists.
There is no particular Genre that he limits himself to, but everything he plays revolves around a funky, driving, melodic, tribal beat.
Not wanting to be "locked in" to a particular genre and sharing his belief that there are great tracks in several genres, Pete has been building "Tour de Genre" sets taking dancers through a variety of EDM genres at a fun pace. NOT generic club music, but fresh, grooving, underground tracks mixed into a flowing journey. Perhaps House to Trance, or Tribal to Deep House, or Tech House to Progressive, etc, etc... Usually with plenty of Electro and Breaks sprinkled throughout...
Here on This Week at Beatport, Pete looks to share the Tour de Genre concept, and open some ears to new music and genres.

MINT DJ

Geoffrey Wilcoxson first cut his teeth in the rave scene as part of the two man live act, Mint, playing all over the Southwest and Mexico. As the underground dance industry changed in the US, Geoffrey moved from behind the keyboards and moved behind the decks. Mint DJ emerged with a deep, groovy sound spinning in many clubs and lounges in Arizona.

PAC D

http://www.ibbdjcamp.com/
http://www.myspace.com/pacd
Pac D has been a long time driving force in the soulful Drum'nBass realm of the Arizona music scene. He cut his teeth on the jump up styles of the late 90’s, and moved into the harder roller sound in 2000. Frustrated by the lacking human element of music he took on a different role, teaching others to play records and giving his pupils an understanding of electronic music. While on hiatus from playing he found an organic style of the likes of Omni Trio and LTJ Bukem. Upon his return to the decks in early 2002, Pac D had a new found focus on promoting the organic and soulful sides of DnB. Although this is a slight departure from the downtempo style he started with, Pac D has no problem destroying the dancefloor with his soul soaked beats.
